The new version of Firefox (3) has begun to spread around the industry, with some disappointing results. Although there are a few new features, noticeably Gecko 1.9, and the URL bar’s striking new functionality, there is just not enough changes to give it an integer update, to 3. If I was in charge, I would call it 2.2 (or even 2.1) or something to suggest a medium magnitude feature change.
