Its the time of the year where I need to do some changes, for the design ‘peak’ in the Sussex (no idea why it is so different to the rest of the world, but still). So here comes a short post (kept short mainly for hunger-oriented reasons), just to collect your opinions on what I should get my new desk made from.
Essentially it’s going to be about the width of the shortest wall (the photo below shows the current desk extending about half the way down the wall, with one …

You may remember, if you’re one of my more hard-core readers, back in the old blog, I used to make a few posts about the past present and future of the iPlayer. Well it turns out that it’s still growing rapidly into one of the main parts of the BBC. If I was in charge, I would call it 2.2 (or even 2.1) or something to suggest a medium magnitude feature change. The only reason for it is the new Gecko implementation, for the simplicity for the end user.
I have been using …

I know I haven’t updated this place in a while, but I’ve been quite busy, and I admit, it’s my life, and I can do what I want with it. Unless you have any objections?
Anyway, for a long time, I have been sure that Apple users have always (or almost always) fitted into a specific category of people. Always graphic artists (or bipolar, if it’s any different) and the occasional developer. As the following few snippets from the article show, this has finally been proven on a large scale. …
