Google’s Adsense

If you are wondering why this post seems unplanned and ‘out of the blue,’ you’re probably on to something, as the main reason why I’m writing this is that I just got my first mail from Google. Pretty big moment eh?
Inevitably, along with every other piece of paper that gets left around the house, it got written on, and in the good old blogging fashion, I thought I’d upload the left-on-the-work-top-too-long version on here as well. Oh and yes I did try and leave the poor bloke some dignity by hiding his phone number to an extent.
If you have a blog, or some kind of web-space that receives high traffic, I recommend you place Google Adsense sponsored links on your site. Having said that, a block of partially-formatted links isn’t the most beautiful sight, and you wouldn’t want your lovely new minimal blog theme to be spoilt by Google’s over-corporate approach to the internet. Another point is that they do very little, and bring in relatively little for you, unless you are skilful with where you place them. All the info where you can get the most out of your ads can be found on the Google Adsense Docs. Either way, do give it a go, but remember not to loose the focus of your blog’s topic, which is where many blogs go wrong.
It’s probably for the best that I’m going to stop writing this article, as I fear I’m targeting a niché of bloggers, all of which don’t enjoy posts that don’t have any meaning. Probably safer if I don’t allow comments for this one too (thank the Mac users on Digg for that one)…
