iPod/iPhone top tip #1 - Screen shot

17 July 2008 25 views 2 Comments

You will not believe quite how many requests I’ve had since the arrival of my current favorite gadget. Essentially, people have been asking me exactly how I have been taking screenshots of my iPod touch, rather than taking a photo with my camera. The answer’s actually surprisingly simple, and can be found quite easily by anyone playing around with their iPhone.

To take the screenshot, hold the Home Button (the square symbol printed upon a physical button at the bottom of the iPod/iPhone) and press the Sleep/Wake button on the top (also known as the Hold button). If you’ve done it correctly, you’ll see a flash and the screen will fade back from white.

Once you have done this, it will simply store it in the Photos section of the iPod/iPhone, under “Saved Photos”. Simply open iTunes and sync them back to your Mac or PC to send them to friends.
