Need your opinions

13 April 2008 1 views No Comment

Its the time of the year where I need to do some changes, for the design ‘peak’ in the Sussex (no idea why it is so different to the rest of the world, but still). So here comes a short post (kept short mainly for hunger-oriented reasons), just to collect your opinions on what I should get my new desk made from.

Essentially it’s going to be about the width of the shortest wall (the photo below shows the current desk extending about half the way down the wall, with one straight edge and a curve out that extends some way down the wall. The idea is to give more space for my new screen (22", hurray), and chair (yes, it spins), as you’ll probably agree that my current desk is beginning to get a bit small for what I need. After stripping everything off, including two huge shelves on each side, I’ve gotten as much space as physically possible. Here’s a photo, but I don’t expect you to be able to see that much, as the camera seems completely unable to focus indoors at all.

Anyway, being a demi-minimalist, you’ll probably see why it doesn’t serve its purpose as well as it should. So we got some quotes, pretty good ones at that, from a ‘timber merchant’ down the road from here, he gave us a few samples, from which I chose 3. The only problem is that I can’t decide which to use, which is where you guys come in!
